NORM ARCHITECTS
Norm Architects was founded in 2008. We are a multidisciplinary design studio in the middle of Copenhagen, who, with a unique and simple aesthetics, connects people, objects, spaces, photography and stories in concepts. We work with products, architecture, interiors, photography and art direction.
The name Norm indicates the importance of drawing inspiration from traditions and norms that have been refined for many centuries within the field of architecture and aesthetics. We make it a virtue to focus on quality, durability and timelessness.
Linda Korndal, Architect MAA, Head of Architecture
As head of architecture at Norm Architects, Linda works to shape each space with a story. Conceiving narratives for each project, Linda adds intention to aesthetics by working within the framework of certain questions: How do certain spaces evoke distinct behaviors and emotions? What are their perceived qualities? How do we become aware of this and use them purposefully? Her approach has been shaped from a decade of experience in the fields of architecture, communication and as a lecturer at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. 'Architecture that is strengthened by the life carried out within it. That, to me, is success,' she says of her work.
